Citations that have a distracted driving specification may require an additional $100 fine.

The distracted driver specification will be listed in the remarks section of your citation.

The additional $100 fine will be waived by the court IF you complete a distracted driver safety course and file the certificate of completion with the court BEFORE the ticket is paid.

There is no cost to complete the distracted driver course and it can be completed by clicking the following link www.drivertraining.ohio.gov.

** THE COURT ALLOWS 30 DAYS FROM THE COURT DATE TO HAVE YOUR DISTRACTED CITATION PAID. ANY PAYMENT MADE AFTER THE 30 DAYS WILL NOT ALLOW FOR ANY CREDIT AGAINST YOUR FINE AND WILL THEREFORE RESULT IN THE FULL PAYMENT INCLUDING THE ADDITIONAL $100.00 FINE.
